A challenging 20km walk with 680m of ascent visiting all three trig points on the Kinder plateau.
Overview
This route climbs Kinder Scout (the highest ground in the Peak District) via Jacobs Ladder at the head of the Edale Valley and then over Edale Rocks to our first trig point, Kinder Low. We will continue along the Western edge of Kinder past the famous Kinder Downfall waterfall (you never know we might witness its renowned "blow back"!) before leaving the edge path to hit the second trig point, Sandy Heys, the fairest of the three. Then onto Ashop Edge past the stunning Fair Brook, Seal Edge and Blackden Brook before a second crossing of the Kinder plateau to the third and final trig, Blackden. From there its a final descent to Edale either via Golden Clough or Ringing Roger.
